Based off the Long-Horned Beetle, this hollow formed pendant hangs from a 20” silver patterned linked split chain. The pendant is 1.75 inches in length with a silver hook clasp.
the center-stone is a smooth cabbed quartz with bright golden rutiles. The silver underneath oxidized to make the rutiles pop with contrast. The eyes of the beetle are made with small faceted citrine to accentuate the yellows of the rutile.
Processes used in the creation of this beetle include: Repoussé and chasing, fabrication, and lost wax casting.
