The process begins with repousse, an old technique used to push the metal out to a 3D object from what was previously flat sheet. Done by hand with various steel pushes. After the form comes to life the ladybug details are carved into the pieces by hand.
These hollow forms allow for volume without compromising the weight of the earrings which want to hang light and airy for the wearer.
